Another big day!

Thursday was another big day for Daisy.

First, she went to the vet for her "big girl" shots - and weighed in at a whopping 28.3 pounds! So she's consistently gained 6 pounds every three weeks. She's getting so big!

Dr. Bosse, pictured below with Daisy, says she is a very nice dog and that she's doing great. He says she has a very sweet disposition (yesterday when he said that she looked up at him and licked him) and he loves her markings and her shiny coat.

With this visit, she's now had all the shots she will need for a year. Our next visit to the vet will be in August or September to have her spayed (because I would have a house full of dogs if I let her have puppies - I couldn't let them go!)

When we got to the vet, Daisy acted her usual self, wagging her tail at everyone so hard that her entire rear end wagged. She had to see everyone and everything - including Charmin the cat.

Miss Gina gave Daisy a treat that was shaped like a tiny ball - about the size of a large marble. But instead of eating it, Daisy thought she'd smack it around the room like a cat.

When Dr. Bosse brought Daisy back in from having her nails cut and getting her shots, he said she didn't flinch at the shot - but threw a fit at having her nails cut!

As a treat for being a good girl (well, except for the nails thing), we went to Bluegrass Barkery (the new name of our favorite place, For The Love of Dogs) to get Daisy (and Bo, who stayed home) a new Merrick Flossie (they LOVE flossies!)

Daisy made a new friend at the Barkery. His name is Armani, and he is a cockapoo who is exactly two weeks younger than Daisy. He weighs all of 5 pounds! Isn't he adorable?

At first I was worried that Daisy would be too big to play with him, but Armani held his own and basically did to Daisy what she does to Bo every day - grabbed him by the ears, tail and scruff of the neck and jumped all over him. After acting submissive for a few minutes, Daisy figured out she could play right back. They played and played for almost an hour!!

After a few minutes, Armani devised a plan. He would hide in a spot big enough for him but too little for Daisy!

As soon as Daisy would turn to walk away, Armani would bounce out and grab her by the tail!

Daisy eventually figured out a trick of her own - she'd pin Armani down on the ground - just like Nala does to Simba in The Lion King. :-)

Eventually, both Daisy and Armani conked out and just collapsed on the floor. It was adorable.

Daisy slept all the way home from the bakery. Then we picked up Bo and went to Nina's house for dinner, where Bo and Daisy each had chicken and ice cream for dinner. Now that's two spoiled little doggies, don't you think?

Thanks to everyone at Bluegrass Barkery for letting us come over and play. Daisy and I both enjoyed it!
