Meet Daisy!

Daisy was born at 9:50 a.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2008, in Shelbyville, KY, the 5th of 8 puppies born to Lola and Sampson Hill.

She came home to Lexington to be Bo's playmate on Sunday, April 6, 2008.

After the long trip away from her mom, dad, brother and sisters, she was worn out! Sunday night she slept in her tent/crate from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., went out to potty, then got in bed with me and Bo for a few hours before being up and ready to go for the day.

Monday night, she slept with me and Bo the entire night...and slept very well!

Today she took her first trip to Harrodsburg to visit Dr. Bosse. She weighed 10.14 pounds (compared to 4.4 pounds at 3 weeks and 3 days old...that's more than double!) Dr. Bosse says she's going to be a big girl, and that she has a wonderful temperament. She charmed Dr. Bosse and all his vet techs - everyone had to hold her! She was a very good girl while she had her sharp little nails trimmed and got all checked out. Needless to say she slept all the way home.

I can't wait to see how much she weighs when we go back for shots in three weeks!!

Daisy is a very good little girl. She's very good about using the potty outside and not inside. And when she gets tired during the day, she just crawls into her tent/crate and goes to sleep.

Well...she isn't moving when she's asleep...which she is here in her tent/crate (which I highly recommend - they are much better than the hard plastic crates!)


And here is a short video of her with Bo...they were eating dinner Monday night (in separate bowls...they eat out of different bowls, but she won't have anything to do with her puppy-size water bowl. She will only drink out of Bo's BIG water bowl. And when she does, her long ears get their little ends soaked!) Bo wanted to try Daisy's Puppy Chow, but Daisy decided she wouldn't stand for for it! (Ignore the Puppy Chow all over the floor...Bo ate all that she spilled!)
