We started the day early with her first present, a free-range knuckle. It was the first time she's had one, and she loved it! Later in the morning, she got her new stuffed animals - an octopus with squeakers in all eight legs and a monkey with long arms and legs.
Then it was on to cake! This is the birthday cake Clay made for her at Bluegrass Barkery.
I put the cake down on the floor and just let her have at it. That's what you do on first birthdays, right? Here's what happened. She was very gentle with it.
